About Us
About Us
Hey, we're laura and pip.
Friends, dietitians, and co-founders of Flora Health. We’re big fans of summer, balance, and making food feel simpler.
Flora Health is a Newcastle and Hunter region–based dietitian clinic providing expert, compassionate care focused on what matters most. You. We’re here for when food takes up too much brain space.
We help make food feel easier, less overwhelming, and more doable through flexible nutrition support that grows with you. From supporting families to build positive mealtimes, to women’s health nutrition and recovery from eating disorders, our advice is practical, evidence-based, and always judgement-free.
Our goal is simple. To help you feel confident with food, enjoy eating again, and create habits that support a fuller, healthier life.
Years experience
Our Story
Flora Health
With more than a decade of combined experience, we’ve seen how closely women’s health, eating disorders, and paediatric nutrition are connected. Nutrition challenges rarely exist in isolation, and they often shift and overlap across different stages of life.
We’ve also seen the impact this can have on women and families. Food can start to feel confusing and overwhelming, with a constant mental load and care that feels fragmented. Many people move between providers, repeat their stories, and still don’t receive support that adapts as their needs change.
Flora Health was created to address this gap. We bring together expertise across these interconnected areas to offer nutrition care that is cohesive, compassionate, and responsive.
We take a collaborative approach, supporting nutrition within the broader context of each person’s lived experience. Our aim is for you to feel understood, supported, and confident in your relationship with food, so you can live a fuller, healthier life.

About Us
Our Values
Kindness in practice
We believe every person deserves kindness and respect, no exceptions. We see each client as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms or goals, and take time to understand their story, needs, and values. With empathy at the heart of every conversation, we create space for clients to feel truly heard, seen, and supported.
Knowledge that grows
We keep up to date with the latest research so our care is informed, relevant, and evidence-based. We build our expertise through curiosity, continued learning, collaboration, and listening to the people we support. Our goal is to help you feel confident, informed, and empowered as you make decisions and consider change.
Working alongside you
We believe people thrive when supported by a team, not just one individual. Health has many moving parts. We listen closely to our clients, the true experts on their lives, and work alongside them and their care teams to create realistic, sustainable strategies that lead to meaningful, lasting change.
